Artist's Comments

The holy spirit is recorded as appearing in both the form of a dove and in the form of tongues of fire in the bible, My attempt was to combine these two forms to alliterate to a pheonix which is a symbol of new life and a rebirth as we have in Jesus christ
kinda made it to look a bit like a stain glass window

this is my first ever silk painting

I like a fiery dove more then a pheonix.

And I like this one very much!

Very cool concept and brilliantly rendered!

Silk painting too? You're mastering quite a diverse range of media ;)

right now I'm in a foundations art program, we have to do 8 studios each having a variety of mediums, I'm not even finishing 6 of the studios though as I'm dropping out to do a missions trip with YWAM... but yes I am getting to use alot of mediums, oh and thanks for saying mastering, cuz as far as I know i'm kinda just stabbing in the dark with each medium

i really like this one. good work :)
:iconjordanpedde:
to be honest it was just a fiery dove and then i was like "hey iot kinda looks a bit like a pheonix" and so as far as my teach is concerned i was intentionally allitterating to it, even thought the main focus was really just the combination of the two representations of the holy spirit, but shhhhhhh... its our little secret

:) allright then I guess.

Still I'm wondering, is it a lie to your teacher then?
